Schmidt Resigns as Apple Board Member
The CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, has resigned himself from the board of Apple, Inc. In a press release put out by Apple, Steve Jobs sites that “potential conflicts” caused Mr. Schmidt to resign as Google moves into the consumer computer market in addition to the smartphone arena. This month would have been Mr. Schmidt’s third year anniversary on the board.

Roadtrip - Day 12

Last night was terrible! We had to change rooms in the middle of the night because the folks staying in the room next door were making too much noise!
In the morning, we got the tour of CNN and visited the Georgia Aquarium.
We left Atlanta at about 11:30AM and drove as long as we could (well, my dad could). We are now in a hotel room...

We left New Orleans early this morning and drove straight to Atlanta, Georgia. On the way, we hit so nasty storms. We felt like storm chasers!
We got to Atlanta late this afternoon and headed to Ted’s Montana Grill.
Tomorrow, we are going to go on the CNN Tour, Georgia Aquarium and start on our way back home.

New Orleans is an amazing city. We woke up this morning and had the best breakfast yet at Cafe Du Mond. Iced coffee and beignets. Yum! Then we took a taxi to Tulane University and bought various items in their bookstore.

Today, we left Dallas early in the morning (yet the thermometer seemed like it was noon). We traveled throughout the day to New Orleans, LA.

This morning we slept in, ate breakfast at the hotel and drove a minute to the Clinton Presidential Library. It was SPECTACULAR (both the building and the contents)! I like when I can learn in a state-of-the-art way. President Clinton was the president when I was born, but I really didn’t know too much about him, now I do!

We woke up early and said goodbye to Nashville. We spent a good part of the morning in the car to go to Memphis, TN. When we got to Memphis (I am a bit ashamed to say this), we visited Graceland. Day three was a nice break after two days of almost non-stop driving. We spent the entire day in Nashville.
We visited and poked around Vanderbilt University and also visited the Country Music Hall of Fame.
I’m not (necessarily) a complainer about heat, but it was very hot out. But, its just a taste of what’s to come.

Day two is complete, and we beat our goal! The goal was to stop and spend the night in Knoxville, TN, but after careful thought, we decided to drive a few more hours to Nashville, TN.
We arrived in Nashville in the late afternoon and had a good BBQ dinner.
The plan for tomorrow is to stick around and sightsee in Nashville.

Control Your Mac from Your iPhone
When version 2.0 software came out for the iPhone a few weeks ago, the one big thing that I was exited to see was the ability to control your Mac via your iPhone. A nifty little program called VNC Lite does just that.
Using VNC Lite is a two-step process.
Step 1 - On Your Mac
